It is with deep sadness that I inform you that one of our U13 players, Callum McGarvey, passed away unexpectedly last Sunday. His dad, Pat, was actively involved in managing Callum's team.
It is difficult to find the words to convey the tragedy of his loss at such a young age.
On behalf of all of us at Granada FC I want to extend our deepest sympathies to Pat and Susan, his brother and sisters and their wider family at this difficult time.
Callum will repose at home today (Wednesday) between 5pm and 8pm, with removal tomorrow (Thursday) to the Church of St John the Baptist in Blackrock for 10am Funeral Mass.
Granada was an important part of Callum's life - he played two games each weekend when he could - and the club will be supporting the family in any way we can over the coming days and weeks. Our U13 players will provide a guard of honour at the funeral.
I would invite you all to join us in showing whatever support you can over next few days.
May he rest in peace.
Thank you
Ciaran Kane
Chairman
